Taufeek Siddiqui is a poet who writes about the things we feel but struggle to say. His work explores love, loss, mental health, and the quiet strength it takes to rebuild yourself after falling apart.
Faded is his debut poetry collection, born from sleepless nights, train journeys between cities, and the belief that words can make us feel a little less alone. Taufeek writes from the heart, for the hearts that feel too much.
He believes poetry isn't about perfect metaphors—it's about honest moments. The kind that make you pause mid-page and think, "Someone finally gets it."
Dedicated to his Nana (a CRPF officer who taught him resilience through quiet acts of love) and his Maa (who stitched his life together with hands that were already torn), Taufeek writes for anyone who has ever loved deeply, broken quietly, and learned to rise again.
When he's not writing, he can be found in libraries, chasing sunsets, or having deep conversations over chai.
Faded is his promise: If you've ever felt like you're sinking, these words will help you float.

Welcome to the journey of FADED. Some love stories don't end with closure. They end with you sitting in the wreckage, learning how to breathe again. This is that story. Every page I wrote while sitting in metros between cities, when silence spoke louder than words, on sleepless nights when breathing felt heavier than it should. I wrote when love felt infinite. I wrote when it shattered. I wrote when I thought I'd never write again. Faded takes you through seven raw, honest stages of a love that changed everything: I. The Spark – When eyes first met II. Falling, Fully & Recklessly – The beautiful freefall III. Love in Full Bloom – The moments that feel like forever. IV. Cracks in the Middle – When doubts creep in V. Breaking & Aftermath – The shattering you never prepared for VI. The Dark Roads – Surviving when you don't know how VII. Healing, Acceptance & Becoming – Rising, piece by piece I wrote about standing on balconies where the wind felt like love. About library dates and stolen ice creams. About metro rides where holding hands meant everything. About the silence that comes before goodbye. About depression that feels like sinking. About a mother's sacrifices that shaped who I am. About choosing yourself when everything else fades. This isn't just poetry. It's a mirror. If you've ever loved someone more than they could hold you... If you've ever stayed longer than you should have... If you've ever broken quietly and rebuilt slowly... You will recognize yourself in these pages. From "That Balcony!!" where love hits like wind you can't escape, to "I am Sinking" where survival becomes the only goal, to "Maa" where I honour the woman who taught me to rise—this book holds space for every feeling you've been told to hide. I don't romanticize the pain. I sit with it. I honour it. And I show you the way through. Read slowly. Pause where it hurts. Return where it brings comfort. These poems were written with a pulse. If they find yours, let them sit with you for a while.
